If you've seen the silhouette of one of the Great Pyramids of Egypt pass by recently, on social media or in the media, this time it's not the fault of Ridley Scott or Maître Gims. No, this time, what sparked the fire was a video published by Mustafa Waziri, an archaeologist who is also the secretary general of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Antiquities. In this video, we see workers aligning large blocks of granite around the pyramid of Mykerinos, south of the Giza plateau, near Cairo. The pyramid in question is the smallest of the three, behind those of Chephren and Cheops. It's still a pretty sturdy building: 100 meters long and 63 meters high, it's half the size of the pyramid of Cheops, but it's a bit bigger than the average family vault. In the video, we can see that we are still a long way from the top, okay, but still: there are seven rows of blocks that already easily rise to three or four meters.
