https://www.raiplay.it/programmi/esem... - Strauben are sweet fritters typical of Tyrol and Bavaria with a characteristic spiral shape that makes them immediately recognizable. This is a traditional product widespread in Alto Adige and Trentino that is prepared and served during street parties and local events. They are made with a dough made of eggs, flour, milk, butter and sugar, flavored with a drop of grappa; once a rather liquid batter is obtained, it is dropped into boiling oil through a funnel and then fried until golden: the final result is fragrant and irresistible. Today our friends Barbara and Francesca have decided to prepare the savory version for us. The dough always includes the same mix of ingredients: eggs, sugar, milk, beer, 00 flour and grappa but the topping is not as you usually see with blueberry jam and chocolate, but with strips of chicken breast, asparagus and boiled green beans. Finally, the dish is structured as follows: lettuce leaves at the base, still warm strauben with chicken and vegetables next to it and accompanied by a sauce made from mustard, mayonnaise and cheese. Ingredients for the strauben: 3 eggs 30 g sugar 300 ml milk 300 ml beer 600 g 00 flour 20 ml white grappa salt For the dressing: 400 g chicken breast 1 head of lettuce 80 g rocket 10 boiled asparagus 10 boiled green beans 10 yellow datterini tomatoes 20 g smoked paprika 1 lemon fresh basil 10 walnut kernels For the sauce: 100 g mayonnaise 100 g grated cheese 4 g mustard extra virgin olive oil salt and pepper
