Today our tour was in SANTOS / SP, we visited the recently opened VALONGO PARK and enjoyed a cup of coffee at the COFFEE MUSEUM. Santos is a city in the state of São Paulo. The residents call themselves Santos. The municipality extends over 281.1 km² and had 433,311 inhabitants in the last census. The demographic density is 1,541.7 inhabitants per km² in the municipality’s territory. Neighboring the municipalities of São Vicente, Cubatão and Guarujá, Santos is located 35 km south east of Mauá. Located 9 meters above sea level, Santos has the following geographic coordinates: Latitude: 23° 57' 42'' South, Longitude: 46° 19' 56'' West. Santos is home to Serra do Mar State Park. Valongo Park, on the banks of the Port of Santos (SP) canal, was inaugurated on July 5/2024 with the delivery of the first stage of works, which had an investment of R$20 million from public-private partnerships. The space will have a total of 10 thousand m², but the part delivered will cover 2.4 thousand m². The section released to the public is in an area previously occupied by the ruins of warehouse 4 and in the space previously occupied by warehouses 5 and 6 - which no longer existed. There, residents and tourists will come across a covered, air-conditioned structure, where there will be a stage for shows and snack bars; a 32-meter-high Ferris wheel; an observation pier; a floating platform for 14 vessels; a sports area and playground. How to get there: Access to the Park will be via walkways. The first, already released, is next to the Federal Revenue Office in Santos, at Praça da República.
