Lichen Stary appeared on our tourist route, so we do not miss such an opportunity. I do not know what Jesus would say about it if he saw it, but we decided to explore it thoroughly. The building is certainly impressive. The basilica is huge, the decor is rich, unfortunately you can see ordinary kitsch everywhere, although a lot of the exhibits are beautiful works of art, also beautiful sculptures. We liked the architecture, the surroundings and the views from the highest tower the most. Nice walking paths, pleasant places for meditation, well hidden among the trees. Water points, beautiful greenery everywhere, lots of flowers, fountains, a really wonderful place for walks and relaxation, so nice that it took us almost eight hours. There is a playground for children. On the premises there are cafes and shops, full of goods that we were not interested in at all. During the week, empty parking lots, peace and quiet everywhere, clean and tidy toilets. It was all a pleasure to watch. So, if Lichen Stary happens to be on your way, be sure to visit it.
