Our arrival in San Pedro begins with a drive along a road damaged by heavy trucks transporting logs and cocoa. Despite this, excitement mounts at the thought of discovering this vibrant town, once a simple fishing village that has become an important deep-water port. San Pedro, with its fine sandy beaches, invites relaxation and adventure far from the hustle and bustle of the port. We explore the Digboué lagoon by pirogue, gliding among lush mangroves and majestic trees. We continue our journey to the mysterious point of Taki, near Grand Bereby, after a ride on a bumpy track. The contrast between the roughness of the road and the beauty of the beach that awaits us is striking. We spend time with local fishermen, tasting fresh coconuts and discovering the famous hairy crabs of the region. On our way, we also discover the Rocher des Amoureux, a site full of legend and mystery, before continuing towards the Baie des Sirènes of Grand-Béréby, an oasis of tranquility between sea and forest. Then, we stop at the village of Dahoua, a real hidden treasure with its magnificent beach and its warm inhabitants. We also visit Mani and the Dodo beach, where a flowery ecolodge welcomes us, offering a peaceful setting and varied activities. Finally, our stay in Grand-Béréby reveals white sand beaches and a natural and cultural wealth that make this region a true preserved paradise.
