The Saint-Pierre Church in Vendeuvre-sur-Barse is a magnificent historic building located in the Aube department, in the Grand Est region. Built between 1510 and 1530, this church presents a harmonious blend of late Gothic and Renaissance styles. The church was built on land donated by Charles II of Amboise, Lord of Vendeuvre. It is in the shape of a Latin cross with a three-aisled nave and a projecting transept. After being severely damaged by a fire in 1940, the church was restored and re-inaugurated in 1963. The current stained glass windows, created by master glassmaker Max Ingrand, replace those from the 16th century destroyed during the fire. The building was classified as a historic monument (as a building) on July 6, 1907.
