Saint Bishnouna was martyred on May 19, 1164 AD, corresponding to Bashans 24 (currently June 1). He was a monk in the Monastery of Anba Macarius in Egypt, during the battles that took place between the men of Prince Dargham and the men of Minister Shawar, and during the reign of Al-Aqqad Al-Fatimi, in the late twelfth century. This monk was arrested. They tried to make our saint abandon his faith in Christ Jesus, but he refused with steadfastness and courage, so they burned him alive and he received the crown of martyrdom. His faithful sons took the rest of his bones and carried them to the Church of Abu Serga in Old Cairo, and buried him there. Many miracles happened through the blessings of the prayers and intercessions of this great saint, and to this day... May the blessings of his prayers be with us, Amen. And to our Lord be the eternal glory forever, Amen. #bashnoona#martyr#Vespersr#MariaPhone#Hymns ... #pascha#cross#crucifiction#boulesmalak#abofam#georgemenz#satermikhail#weekofpain#melodies#abufam#
