Thanks to the kindness and active collaboration of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, TelePace HolyLand was able to organize a guided tour of the beautiful monastery of San Giorgio in Koziba in Wadi Qelt, one of the oldest in the Holy Land. Tradition places the prophet Elijah's stop here, and here Saint Joachim, who had retired to pray after being expelled from the temple, received the angel's announcement of the imminent birth of Mary. The parts that can be visited are the church and the cave of Elijah and Joachim. The view is breathtaking over the Qelt valley, between Jericho and Jerusalem.
