Imagine the season starts and all the ports are closed. That's how I felt before my trip because of "Corona". That can't be true, I thought. Little by little, a plan grew and so I finally did it. However, this time I really wanted to "conquer" Heligoland. Out of the Europahafen in Bremen at night and to Bremerhaven, on to Heligoland to see my daughter and finally to Cuxhaven (my summer berth). Although I am often in this "home port" and know the area quite well, it was a special trip for me - the night trip to Bremerhaven, out of the Weser in "a bit of wind" (northwest up to 6 Beaufort in gusts of 7 Beaufort), around 12 hours to Heligoland, repairing the mainsail sheet on the North Sea, mooring and unmooring single-handed at the sheet pile wall, entering Heligoland under "corona conditions", and much more - I enjoyed being back on the water!
