The long-awaited moment has arrived to share with you the result of the painting of the fixed lid of the machine! In this video, we will show you the before and after of this restoration process, which completely transformed the worn appearance of the lid. The painting work involved several steps, from preparing the surface to applying the protective varnish. First, we removed the old lid and scraped it to remove excess paint and residue. Then, we used sandpaper of different grain sizes to obtain a smooth and uniform finish. To ensure long-lasting adhesion of the paint, we applied a coat of gray primer, followed by the white finishing paint. We chose varnish as the final step to provide extra protection for the paint, preventing dirt and scratches from compromising the final result. In the video, we detail the products and techniques used, highlighting the importance of varnish as an essential protective layer to extend the life of the paint. We also show you how you can carry out this process at home, without the need for professional equipment.
