They start using drugs as children or teenagers and there comes a time when the disease of addiction is so present in their lives that they do not remember what it is like to live without taking substances. They often try to stop using on their own, going to therapy punctually or gradually reducing their consumption. But, most of the time, they do not succeed. Little by little their life is destroyed, the physical consequences of a long addiction appear, the relationship with family and friends deteriorates, and serious problems arise at work. In the tenth episode of 'Addictions Uncovered' I chat with Sergio Ferrández, a recovered former addict, with the aim of learning about his testimony of fighting addictions and his recovery after many decades of consumption.
