Many months of searching, a lot of uncertainty, the phrase “you can't have children naturally”, Trying IVF, etc. A very long road, very costly financially and emotionally. A very hard road that tests your integrity, your life as a couple, it tests yourself. Nothing is going as I expected. I hoped to decide to get pregnant and stay. Stop taking the contraceptive pill, wait a month or two and stay. And nothing happened. It was a difficult road. IVF costs a lot of money. About 7000 euros in my case. And the worst thing is that no one guarantees that it will work. And if it doesn't work, what will we do? Wait for the social security to call us, which might do so in two years and if I already had little chance, now even less. I couldn't wait. Going through IVF was hard, but waiting 15 days after fertilisation was horrible!! I knew that many women had tested positive a few days before the date of their NO period. But they asked me to wait at least 5 days after my missed period. What's more, they were going to do an analysis to check it. But you can imagine that I couldn't wait. I felt strange, but maybe it was all psychosomatic. I couldn't wait any longer. I had to be pregnant. I woke up at 7am, went into the bathroom, peed… and FINALLY we had done it!! I was PREGNANT!! I started shaking, crying, I was scared.
