A press conference was held on the 8th to announce the completion of "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko", a film adaptation of the TV Asahi drama starring actor Ryoko Yonekura (49), at the station, where Yonekura announced that this film will be the "FINAL" of the series. The popular national drama "Doctor X" has aired seven series since 2012, depicting the story of Daimon Michiko, a freelance surgeon who "never fails" and who performs highly difficult surgeries and breaks down concepts such as herds, authority, and restrictions. 12 years after the drama was created, this film will be the first film adaptation by the strongest lineup of the series, including screenwriter Miho Nakazono and director Naoki Tamura (TV Asahi), and will finally mark the end of the series. In addition to Yonekura, the Doctor X family, including familiar faces from the series, including Tanaka Kei (40), Uchida Yuki (48), Katsumura Masanobu (61), Suzuki Kosuke (49), Endo Kenichi (63), Kishibe Ittoku (77), and Nishida Toshiyuki (76), also gathered at the press conference. When a digest video summarizing the 12-year history of the series was played at the press conference, Yonekura was overcome with emotion and shed tears.
