Things are not so pleasant at the moment in the Planetenbuurt in Roermond. A 44-year-old neighbour - married, father of an 8-year-old daughter - was arrested last week at the campsite for touching the pants of underage boys. Normally, that would be reason enough for civil unrest. But according to the residents, this person is a notorious pervert. The man was allegedly sentenced to thirteen months in prison in Gelderland for a similar offence. That is why he is said to have moved to Roermond under a different name in order to escape his previous place of residence. His brother, who worked for the Wonen Zuid corporation at the time, is said to have helped him find a home. Of course, the corporation and the mayor know nothing about this and the Public Prosecution Service refuses to deny or confirm the man's past. And that is why the neighbourhood is ANGRY. There are no torches or rakes yet. There is a petition: Get rid of that recidivist paedophile from our neighbourhood, is the simple request. But of course it is not that easy.
