Following the Ton Bourg battu experiment, conducted with the Pays de la Vallée du Lot, the CAUE 47 team deployed a support action at the departmental level called RURAL Studio 47. With RURAL Studio 47, the CAUE 47, drawing on its know-how implemented for the ORT municipalities (Mas d'Agenais, Cocumont, Fauillet and Escassefort), proposed new forms of project management. Thanks to a call for expressions of interest, 3 municipalities were selected: Castelnau sur Gupie, Lagupie and Beauville. From September 2021 to September 2023, this experiment offered elected officials and village residents access to resources and methods to “do the project differently”. They were supported with new approaches that made it possible to collectively draw up an action plan for the attractiveness of their town.
