In today's vlog, we explore the largest luxury complex in Brazil, Cidade Matarazzo, which is home to Casa Bradesco and the Rosewood Hotel (the best hotel in Brazil), among other ventures. The recently opened Casa Bradesco opens with the art exhibition Inflamação by world-famous artist Anish Kapoor. Casa Bradesco is the newest center for art, culture and creativity in São Paulo, very close to Avenida Paulista, arriving at the Trianon MASP station. Take a leisurely stroll with us as we first learn about the architecture of the restoration process of these historic buildings that belonged to the Matarazzo family. We also walk through the complete exhibition Inflamação by conceptual artist Anish Kapoor, who is exhibiting for the first time in Brazil. Some of the installations were made exclusively for the exhibition, so this is a rare chance to see the work of the celebrated artist responsible for works such as the famous monument THE BEAN in Chicago, USA. His sculptures use unusual materials such as wax, stainless steel, lacquer and machinery to create unusual installations that invite us to reflect. Still in Cidade Matarazzo, we visited the exclusive and renowned ROSEWOOD HOTEL SÃO PAULO, voted the best hotel in Brazil and Latin America and one of the best in the world. In this luxury hotel, we visited the charming café and restaurant Le Jardin, surrounded by olive trees and a beautiful garden worthy of a palace. Cidade Matarazzo will also open other spaces in addition to Casa Bradesco and Rosewood, including SOHO HOUSE and a luxury shopping center that will feature several international designer stores, restaurants and cultural spaces focused on Brazilian art and crafts. There are also residences and offices in the space that looks more like an urban oasis. To end the tour, we visited Capela Santa Luzia. Built by the Matarazzo family to serve the hospital that occupied the site, the chapel was completely restored and expanded in what was the most complex restoration project ever undertaken in the country. The beautiful stained glass window by the celebrated Brazilian artist Vik Muniz is the only contemporary work inside the church and crowns this hidden gem in São Paulo.
