ANTE: FIRST DAY - • Video SECOND DAY - • Video THIRD DAY - • Three Days of St. Anti - third day _____________________ - Saint Anthony of Padua - saint of the whole world - This year is a jubilee year for the entire Franciscan family since this year celebrates the 800th anniversary of Saint Anthony of Padua's accession to the Franciscan Order (1220-2020). St. Anthony of Padua is one of the most popular saints in the whole world, and what can we say about Bosnia and Croatia, where St. Anto in a special way grew to the hearts of the people. This saint has his own rosary, it may not be as popular as the rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, but there is certainly no worshiper of this saint who has not prayed this rosary at least once. This short rosary, which can be prayed in a few minutes, consists of 13 Lord's Prayers, 13 Hail Marys and 13 Glory Be to the Father. Fra Leonardo Čuturić in Glasnik st. Back in 1908, Ante announced that the late Pope Leo XIII. gave a hundred days of forgiveness to the one who prays this rosary, and this forgiveness can also be intended for souls in purgatory, which is in the spirit of the theology of that time. (taken from Franciscan presence in Bosnia) He is one of the most beloved saints in the entire Catholic Church, who is revered not only in Padua, where a beautiful basilica was built where his remains are kept, but also throughout the world. Anthony of Padua was born in 1195 in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Leaving the world and entering the order of St. Francis, was named Anton, and because he died in the Italian city of Padua and his remains rest there, he was given the title of Padua. In his native Portugal, he is revered as (Santo António de Lisboa). "Per Antonium ad Jesum" these are the words spoken by Pope Pius XI. on the occasion of the seventh centenary of the death of St. Ante. We know St. Anthony as a great lover of silence and prayer, a great teacher of spiritual life, a living example of virtue and holiness, today a powerful intercessor with God.
