On the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Rosa Bonheur in Bordeaux, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in her hometown and the Musée d'Orsay, Paris, are organizing a major retrospective of her work. The Château de Rosa Bonheur in Thomery (Seine-et-Marne), where the artist lived for almost half a century, as well as the Musée départemental des peintres de Barbizon are the exceptional partners of the exhibition. The bicentenary of the birth of Rosa Bonheur is included in the calendar of commemorations of France Mémoire 2022. This is the first retrospective devoted to the artist since the one presented in 1997 in Bordeaux, Barbizon and New York.
