Welcome! Welcome to my Youtube channel! I am Cătălin Dascălu and for today I have prepared a video in which I will show you how I root fig cuttings. To compare, we used different methods, simple and effective, without hormones or other rooting stimulants. In this video I will pay more attention especially to rooting in sand and directly in the field. The fig tree is a plant that can be easily propagated by cuttings, it takes root very quickly. By following the steps I will do in this video you will get some rooted cuttings like the ones in the picture. Fig cuttings can take root at any time of the year. I recommend that this process be done in winter or spring, to get a vigorous plant by fall. I took the cuttings from this fig tree, a fig tree that produces some very good quality fruit. The fruits are very large, black-purple in color and very good to taste. I got the cuttings from cuttings, that's why there are so many of them. Both one-year-old and older wood branches can be used. But I think the best results are obtained with one-year-old branches based on 2/3 centimeters of 2-year-old wood. For the first experiment I will use sand as a substrate, substrate in which I will insert the cuttings. In addition to the 2 methods I will show in this video, I also did other experiments where I used different methods.
