About :

This is a room tour of architect Shimada Takashi's home, Kadzunoki House. After working as a designer at a landscape design firm, he went independent and established his own design firm, Shimada Design Office, in 2008. Admiring architects Junzo Yoshimura, Masatami Nagata, and Satoshi Irei, Shimada designed his own home as his first residential design, and we have been working with them ever since. We have collaborated on many home construction projects, with Shimada Design Office designing and Aiba Construction constructing. Kadzunoki House is a vessel that has generously embraced the changes in its residents and trees over the 15 years that it has been home to a family of four, as well as Shimada's passion and excitement as an independent architect.
