At 54 years old, pastor and evangelical singer Flordelis has 55 children, only four of whom are biological. It all started in 1993, when she found a baby in a trash can near the Central do Brasil station in Rio de Janeiro and ended up taking him home. Shortly after, there was a massacre in the area, and some children, learning about Flor's work with minors, decided to seek shelter in her home. She and her husband took them all in, but had to spend a year on the run from justice, accused of kidnapping. With the support of many people, they managed to regularize their situation and continue to help many other young people avoid drugs.
