On Monday's Roda Viva, Daniela Lima welcomes Carlos Nobre, one of the country's leading environmental experts. With a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Aeronautical Institute of Technology, Nobre has a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was one of the authors of the Fourth Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which, along with the team involved, received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. He is currently a senior researcher at the Institute of Advanced Studies at USP and coordinates the Amazon 4.0 Project, an initiative that aims to transform the forest into a center of technology and sustainable entrepreneurship. Carlos Nobre was one of three scientists from the international community chosen to give a conference to the bishops participating in the Amazon Synod, held this month at the Vatican in Rome.
