Hello, my name is Wolf and I am studying for a diploma in mechatronics in my 6th semester at the TU Dresden. In my vlog I take you with me to my events at the university and beyond for a week, for example to the long night of science. The artificial word "mechatronics" was created from the terms mechanics and electronics - this already reveals that mechatronics is an interdisciplinary field. It combines electrical engineering, computer science and mechanical engineering to create intelligent products from mechanical systems, e.g. anti-lock braking systems, autofocus cameras and medical robots. Mechatronics therefore plays an important role in all areas of modern technology and is ideal for versatile people.
