Jerez) ---- Claudio Acosta and Daniel Patanchon present the “SANTIAGUEÑOS” RITUAL They lit the fire. Peteco Carabajal, Jacinto Piedra and Juan Saavedra, coming together in “Los Santiagueños”, changed the music and dance of Santiago del Estero forever, marking a milestone in Latin American culture, from Argentina to the entire continent. Daniel Patanchon and Claudio Acosta were some of those young people who followed the group everywhere, learning in that journey of admiration and musical enjoyment. Today, 35 years later, they realize that the flame is still intact in them when they find themselves singing and playing their songs, and getting excited like the first day. Then the intention of calling for the Ritual, for the reunion, arose. To recreate through music and dance something of what happened in each performance of the group. To evoke the emotional memory, so that together we can tell the story of “Santiagueños”. To remember why and for what we do what we do, the Music, the love for what is ours, our roots, our identity… where we want to go. And from that intention of love, invite us all to be continuators of his message, to sustain the mission of passing the fire… the Huaucke Transmission.
