It is a tribute to the 643 victims of Oradour-sur-Glane in 1944 and an offering to their descendants. It was created in the presence of the victims' families, on June 2, 2024 (recording date), in Saint-Martin d'Oradour-sur-Glane, under the direction of Marie-Catherine Voirpy. The Requiem was created in partnership with the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Limoges (instrumental ensemble) and the vocal ensemble Madrigal, directed by Jean-Christophe Gauthier. Instrumental ensemble: Idris Fowler (flute and piccolo), Salomé Isnard (oboe), Maxime Leycuras-Combeau (clarinet), Aloïs Tanty (bassoon), Gabrielle Faure (horn), Gabrielle Mondout and Sophie Voirpy (trumpets), Bernard Morin (organ), Camille Gluck (harp) and Arnold Labrousse (percussion).
