About :

2024 brought to the Romanian market a major change in the water, juice and alcohol trade. The Guarantee-Return System, presented by the Bucharest authorities as a revolutionary program, aims to reduce pollution and increase the recycling rate of packaging, a chapter in which Romania is among the leaders in Europe. Good intentions were difficult to put into practice. Originally scheduled for release in 2018, the program has suffered multiple delays. Most of the money ends up in the accounts of RetuRO, the company designated as the administrator of the system, from the unclaimed guarantees. But how is this money used?
