A common problem is that the machine rumbles or breaks off during the spin cycle - a common sign of shock absorber problems. Before we begin, make sure the machine is disconnected from the power and water. Wear gloves to avoid injury from sharp edges. We'll need various tools such as screwdrivers and pliers and it's important to note that the exact procedure may vary depending on the type of machine. For machines without an AquaStop sensor, you can simply tip the machine on its side and access the shock absorbers from below. However, if your machine has a water sensor in the closed tub, we'll need to access the shock absorbers from the front - a slightly more involved process. Let's start by opening the back of the washing machine and unscrewing the two screws to remove the lid. Make sure to keep the screws safe. Now we need to remove the control panel and then the front to access the shock absorbers. The exact number and type of screws can vary depending on the machine, so careful documentation is important. Remove the screws, carefully lift off the control panel and then remove the front. Make sure you pull off the door seal and open the inspection hatch. If the appliance is on its side, you can reach the shock absorbers. Some shock absorbers are attached with pins, others have brackets that you have to loosen. After replacing the shock absorbers, reassemble the appliance in reverse order. Make sure that all screws are securely fastened, the door seal is correctly in place and the electronics are reconnected.
