This heating element is very often also called a heating rod or simply a heater. As the name suggests, this component is used to heat the water in the washing machine. In concrete terms, this takes place in the laundry tub. The heating element is therefore constantly in contact with water or lye during the wash cycle. Due to this process, calcification very often occurs on the heating element of the washing machine. You can counteract this in advance with the right care and use of descaling agents.
