The door pin goes down to lock, and then goes up again, unlocking the door again. The Polo lock is divided into two parts, the mechanical lock, and the electrical module that receives the lock signal, unlocks, and sends a signal to the module, so that the functions linked to the car door work. Door lights, dome light, headlight warning, key in ignition warning, window raising, window lowering, alarm activation... Among others. And when this electronic module shorts out, or has a damaged component, such as a micro switch, solder points, or the contact plate, the part stops working properly.
