The plunger in such boxes has a cylindrical shape with holes on the sides of the cylinder. The nozzle has two projections connected to the upper, movable disk. To open/close such a tap, you need to turn the flywheel 90 ° in one direction or another - then the slots either coincide (water flows) or overlap (no water).
