The video shows how to repair Bosch ABS units on BMW E39, X5 E53, E65, E66, Audi A6C5 and Toyota Avensis. Similar units are installed on the following models of cars: BMW 5 series, 7 series, E65, E66, E53, E46, E38, E39, X5, Audi A4, A6, A8, C5, Opel, Volkswagen Passat, Subaru Outback, Skoda Superb, etc. As well as examples of restoring Bosch ABS units after unsuccessful repairs. Repair ABS Bosch Repair involves restoring thin gold and aluminum connections between the ceramic board and the connection connector. The board is connected to the connector through thick aluminum and thin gold conductors using contact ultrasonic welding. As a rule, the main problem is the destruction of aluminum contacts. This inevitably happens over time with each unit of this design. Bosch ABS units are successfully repaired, but do not forgive repair errors. To repair such contact groups, you need a good microscope, precision soldering equipment and great accuracy. More and more units come in for repair after unsuccessful attempts at restoration, where it is obvious that they used a soldering iron at maximum temperature using active acid fluxes.
