As a fuel and industrial raw material, green hydrogen will make a decisive contribution to decarbonizing the global energy matrix, and Brazil is one of the most competitive places in the world to produce it. The total opportunity is estimated at up to US$20 billion by 2040. However, there is still a long way to go in terms of maturing the regulatory framework and creating efficient infrastructure, with an investment of around US$200 billion required.
