He was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Bragança Paulista from 1982 to 1984 and since 1985 he has been the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Vitória. He is also a member of the Evangelical Academy of Letters of Brazil, executive director of Luz para o Caminho, in Campinas, and collaborating pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Pinheiros in São Paulo.
