Zekeriya, is used as a place of worship by the people. Zahit, who aims to eliminate all these superstitions, is faced with the village's old temporary imam, Şemsi, and the tricks of the devil. The young imam, who decides to start by cutting down the dry tree, is always faced with the devil's tricks. Zahit, who encounters the devil's tricks on the road he sets out on with the intention of cutting down the tree, prevails over the devil every time. That is, until the devil learns of Zahit's weakness for gold and uses it against him. Imam Zahit, who now finds a gold coin under his pillow every morning, gradually begins to neglect his duties as an imam, ignores the wish tree, and falls into the passion of wealth. But this situation does not always continue like this, one morning when Zahit wakes up and finds that his savings are turned into stones, he gets angry at the devil and starts to cut down the wishing tree. However, this time his intention is to go for the love of wealth, so he becomes powerless against the devil and cannot find the strength within himself to stand up to the devil.
