Weigelas are usually cut after flowering in summer. However, if they are very old, they can be rejuvenated in late winter by cutting out old shoots. Weigelas are ideal for mixed, free-growing flower hedges or as solitary plants. All in all, undemanding, reliable bloomers that grow easily in any well-drained garden soil.
