A refund fraudster spills the beans. Using fake names and fake accounts, he buys expensive products online - from Amazon and others. He buys PCs, laptops, iPads, cell phones and much more. He then returns an empty box, for example - or a box containing a cheaper product. He demands the full amount back and sells the products on. Return fraud seems to be a lucrative business model for some. Several fraudsters have been caught in recent years: damages running into the millions.
