In search of copper, non-ferrous metal and valuables, I disassemble an old Soviet refrigerator for scrap metal. I heard that such refrigerators can contain one and a half kilograms of copper, but disassembling the refrigerator will show how much copper is actually there. Also, in addition to copper, the refrigerator contains aluminum and ordinary iron, which can also be successfully handed over for scrap metal and get money for it. The refrigerator turned out to be quite heavy and weighty, this is due to the fact that its body was made of thick iron. There was very little plastic and other garbage in the refrigerator, mainly there was one metal. Inside the refrigerator, I managed to get some aluminum, the freezer, various strips and shelves were made of aluminum. But the main catch of non-ferrous metal in the form of copper was concentrated on the back wall of the refrigerator, which was a radiator, the entire radiator tube turned out to be made of copper, it just had to be separated from the metal sheet. Quite a lot of copper was in the refrigerator compressor, the refrigerator compressor had to be cut with a grinder, and before that, having bitten the tubes, I drained the oil from it. The compressor metal is thick and it takes a long time to saw it, besides, the compressor had to be sawed from both sides to pull out all the parts. There was an electric motor inside the compressor, it had a normal catch of copper in the form of a winding of copper wire, it was in the stator. I bit the copper wire with nippers on one side and pried it up with a screwdriver on the other and pulled it out. The wire was in oil and you can easily get dirty on it. I must say that the total catch of copper was more than two kilograms. The refrigerator itself had to be sawed with a grinder to make it more compact and so that it could be normally loaded into a car and taken to a metal collection point. There was a lot of ordinary iron from the refrigerator, this is all because the refrigerator was old. I hope the video about disassembling a refrigerator for scrap metal will be interesting and informative, will bring practical benefit to someone. I wish everyone a successful search, collection and cash delivery of scrap metal, especially non-ferrous metals and copper. Enjoy watching everyone. Thank you all for watching.
