“Reduced to solitary columns, the Church shines with even greater beauty” ‒ Two statements by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira make up the description of this video, an echo of a lecture he gave on March 12, 1980, to train his disciples. In the first statement, he answers one of the many questions raised by his lecture on Agrarian Reform, given in 1961, in the Auditorium of the School of Engineering in Belo Horizonte: “I have a certainty, but a certainty of Faith, an absolute certainty, without any doubt, not even the slightest and most remote: the Holy Catholic Church is the only true Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the infallible Teacher of morality. Therefore, all moral problems must be resolved according to its doctrine. If everyone thought differently, I would think so, with the same and unshakable certainty, as long as God gave me the grace to do so, such is my conviction!” Just as Christ lives in the Christian, the Church lives in the Catholic. Just as Christ shone in the darkness, the Church and all true Catholics shine especially in times of darkness. Yes, the denser the darkness, the brighter the light of a torch and even the phosphorescence of a firefly shine. Another statement by Dr. Plinio, made in the 1980s during another talk to his children, shines among his thoughts of wisdom as another of his very true and profound, beautiful and numerous acts of faith and love for the Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church: “The soul of the Holy Church is completely immutable and uncontaminated. In the midst of confusion, the Church is like a column of diamonds in the middle of a fire: it can catch fire wherever it goes, whatever happens, it, in its essence, remains standing… and the flames do nothing but illuminate it!” Amidst indifference and relativism, infidelity and betrayal, true Catholics, slaves of Jesus in Mary, reduced to solitary columns, with the Church, as the Church and for love of the Church, improve in firmness and strength, refine themselves in haughtiness and pride, receive even more light from the Sun of Justice, Christ our God. And thus, sublimated by grace, they foretell within themselves the triumph of the Wise and Immaculate Heart of Mary! #Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church #Holy Catholic Church #Catholic Church #Our Lord Jesus Christ #Jesus Christ #Our Lord #Jesus #Christ
