On the night from Saturday to Sunday, an impressive reactor weighing about 1,500 tons began its historic 145-kilometer journey from the port of Klaipėda to the oil refining and import company ORLEN Lietuva in Mažeikiai. A cargo of this size has never been loaded in a Lithuanian port and has not been transported on its roads. Since the event is extraordinary, there are people who, despite the fact that the reactor was transported at night, came to take a look. The giant reactor was escorted by police through Lithuania. Drivers were ordered to turn around, stop, and change their route. The reactor was transported on the roads of Klaipėda, Kretinga, Skuodas, and Mažeikiai districts.
