In this episode, I continued the work on this 3.0 e60 218hp gt2260v Turbo. The turbine is for an upgrade to the BMW E39 Touring 525d 163hp. As steps, I started with cleaning the parts. Products used, Engine Cleaner (i.e. a degreasing solution) can even be a stove cleaning solution. In addition, I also used a disc spray. After cleaning the parts, I moved on to sandblasting them. Finally, I disassembled the casing on the cold side. Once the parts were sandblasted, I started painting them. I went with a high-temperature resistant spray 800c silver. I sandblasted and painted even the actuator, only in bronze gold :) Now I started to assemble all the parts back. I also bought a kit with some gaskets code: 703.871 The final result is an oem one, I'm still going to take it for a test.
