Staircase design is something very particular when reading and interpreting the project. Among the highlights during the project study process is being able to visualize the spacing between the bars, steel gauge and length. 📌 MINICOURSE TRACE THE DRAW - Learn how to calculate the concrete mix at a time with a step-by-step guide http://estruturasebim.com/comece-por-... ⌨️ Material Calculator Spreadsheet for the work https://bit.ly/PlanilhaCalculodeMater... 👉 Visit our website and guarantee your materials https://estruturasebim.com ⭕ EQUIPMENT AND BOOK: 💻Notebook that I use to design WITHOUT FREEZING: https://amzn.to/3zuIkEH ⌨️ Calculator model that I use to calculate: https://amzn.to/3oqi0oP 👉 📚Book Calculation and Detailing of Usual Reinforced Concrete Structures: https://amzn.to/3jfyFbX Hello, how are you? In this video, I teach you how to read and interpret a staircase design in just 7 minutes, the main information of the structural design. The first step is to know how to distinguish the staircase in plan and elevations. Since the staircase can have multiple flights, landings and special areas. Therefore, when reading and interpreting the staircase design, we have to analyze the longitudinal and transverse bars. The longitudinal bars can be checked by reading a cross-section, running along the largest direction of the staircase. In this section of the staircase, we can find different arrangements of the bars, especially when it contains landings. However, the basic information will be the number of bars, the diameter of the steel gauge, spacing and length. When observing the details, we can check the bends and extensions of the bars. It is worth mentioning that between the extensions, when we have a change in direction of the bar, we have to check the possibility of thrust in the void, so we can extend the bars, avoiding situations of wear and unwanted stresses on the structure. The crossbars go in the smaller direction of the staircase. The reading checks the number of bars, bar gauge, spacing between bars and length. The second flight of stairs follows the same reasoning, but the only thing that can change is the fittings. When we look at the project, we should pay attention to the staircase's steel summary table. For example, all the bars contained in the structure with a diameter of 5 mm will be quantified in that space, with an estimated weight. Steel is purchased by weight or in 12-meter bars, whether CA-50 or CA-60 steel. GOOD STUDIES! Eng. Pedro Rodrigues
