Started raising Ranchu when he was in the 4th grade of elementary school. As chairman of the Owari Yugyokai, he is dedicated to developing the association, which involves local fish lovers catching and competing with each other to catch young fish. While working at a printing company, he is also dedicated to raising fish. At the 49th National Competition of the Japan Ranchu Association, he won the East and West Ozeki awards for one-year-old fish, at the 53rd National Competition, he became number one in Japan for one-year-old fish for the second time, and in November 2012, at the 57th Competition, he became number one in Japan for one-year-old fish for the third time in four years.
