Since many of the materials I've taken over the years are still lying dormant on my hard drive, I'm posting this with some poor editing. ******* One day in the summer of 2018, I happened to see the TRAIN SUITE Shiki-shima waiting for departure on the platform at Ueno Station. The entrance to the platform was blocked off with a fence, and general passengers were not allowed to enter or exit, so it was a quiet departure. I quietly watched it leave from outside the fence in the distance. The blue train in my memories is along with the heartwarming memory of strangers waving to each other outside the window. It will be a while before we know which future was better. But I feel like I've lost something important.
