It will soon be 10 years since Nossen was no longer served by scheduled passenger trains. Passenger train services were discontinued in December 2015. Regional decision-makers felt that the number of passengers between Döbeln, Nossen and Meißen was no longer large enough due to tight finances. Since then, most commuters have switched to their own cars and can therefore experience traffic delays almost every day on the A4 motorway between the Nossen triangle and Dresden-West when travelling towards Dresden. This video was produced by the Video and Film Association of Saxony eV - Dresden regional group to commemorate the last days of passenger rail service around Nossen.
