On October 13th and 17th, 2011, I uploaded "Rail Archives C62 Double Unit (C6244+C623) Running Sound" and its "sequel", and the two parts together have been viewed more than 15,000 times. These were highlights of the powering uphill, but this time, I have uploaded a single "Oshamanbe-Otaru Uncut Version" of 3 hours and 11 minutes, including the scene of the train descending the downhill slope with brake maintenance. It is in slideshow format with photos from that time. Information such as station names, gradients, tunnel names, and main bridge names are also listed as subtitles. Even though it is uncut, it does not include about 30 seconds in total for the four exchanges of C90 cassettes (45 minutes per side), and about 60 seconds in total for noise and playback failures in four places due to twisting and curling due to aging of the tape, for a total of about 90 seconds, but I believe that these do not affect the overall picture. This year marks the 45th year since the C62 double unit was abolished. Although the C62 double-unit locomotive has already reached the realm of legend, I hope that this will be an opportunity to remember its former self. In addition, the C622 locomotive has been released as an "Appendix DVD" to Icarus Publishing's "Steam Locomotive EX Vol. 24," so I hope you will also listen to this.
