A radical renovation will be carried out at Congonhas Airport. This airport was built almost a century ago, in 1936, and is currently the 2nd busiest in Brazil, with 22 million passengers per year, behind only Guarulhos Airport, with 41 million passengers per year. Operating almost 700 landings and takeoffs per day, the airport is suffering from a bottleneck and cannot increase this number, because much of its facilities are outdated after 88 years of operation. Therefore, the airport will change and expand many of the things that already exist today, and by 2028 it will be completely different. In this video, you will see the largest airport renovation currently underway in South America, which will cost R$2.4 billion reais.
