Recording of a lecture from the Fridays series from 14. 6. 2024 on the topic: Abused Psychology. The lecture deals with various forms of abuse of psychological knowledge and methods. It focuses on the so-called "psycho-scammers", i.e. people who, without professional education, pretend to be psychologists or misuse psychological knowledge and methods in various ways for the purpose of obtaining financial gain, influence or media visibility, but also on the problematic use of some psychological methods. The lecture aims to present psychology as a modern science and warn against its unprofessional and irresponsible use. It has always adhered to this ethical principle and has a firm will to keep it that way, not only out of respect for the presenters and performers, who are the main creators of the content, but also from a higher moral principle. Until recently, a channel operated in this way was hosted on YouTube without added ads, and when this policy changed, I at least hoped that if the profit generated in this way is attributed only to a third party, i.e. the administrator/owner of this medium, the amount of unintentionally inserted content would be at a reasonable and acceptable level. Unfortunately, this is not the case and I am afraid that no distinction is even made between paid and unpaid channels. I do not yet know of any way to avoid inserted ads in any acceptable way or at least reduce them to an acceptable level. I definitely do not want to support this paradigm, therefore I do not encourage subscribing to a service such as YouTube Premium (179.-CZK / month), which will allow watching videos without ads. If anyone can think of a reasonable solution, I would be very happy for any advice, e.g. to the email listed in the final LLionTV log of most of this creator's videos.
