2024 ITJ 70k Race Report 70K The long-awaited Izu Trail Journey! My longest trail. Struggling with injuries. The best scenic journey. It was a great trip that went by in a flash. I was hesitant to participate because I was suffering from sciatica, but I felt relaxed from start to finish. I made a promise to myself that I would never push myself too hard, so I kept my pace down and moved forward at the fastest speed I could at the time, and strangely enough, I felt no pain and was relaxed from start to finish. In fact, it was the best race management I've ever had. lol◯ I didn't worry about the time, and I was able to run to the end◯ I had a thorough strategy of frequent munching and aid to prevent gastrointestinal troubles. ◯ Because I couldn't practice, I didn't have muscle fatigue and my climbing speed didn't drop dramaticallyAs a result, my anxiety about pain was what helped me get through the long race successfully. From the second half, I was able to see Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji at the scenic festival. I was happy ☺️ Support・. Everyone's DMs that were concerned about me gave me strength and stopped me????♂️Thank you very much!! Those who I met in person at the venue and those who were walking at the same pace as me were really encouraging to me yesterday☺️ My goal was ITJ, and the last trail race of the year ended in a very good way. For a while, I will not be overconfident about my symptoms and will continue to rehabilitate while preparing for next season! It was a good trip❗️????️????️ #ITJ #IzuTrailJourney #MyITJ #TrailRunning #TrailRunning #Mt.Fuji #WinterTrailRunning #IzuTrail #
