Rabija Omeragić, from the village of Zastinje in the municipality of Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, lives a life full of challenges and indomitable strength. A native of the village of Cvrče, Rabija devoted her life to her family and agriculture, with her husband and four children. From their work, perseverance and love for the land, they managed to build a modest home and build a life full of simplicity and warmth. On a small property, they keep a mare, a cow and a calf, growing food and taking care of the family's needs in a way that enables them to be self-sustaining. Rabija's day begins and ends with working in the field, with a smile and gratitude for what they have, regardless of the difficulties that accompanied them. Three years ago, Rabija experienced one of the most difficult moments that a mother can go through - she lost the child she had at the time only 13 years old. Although this loss left an indelible mark on her soul, she did not break. Instead, she found strength in her remaining family members, in her faith and indestructible spirit that guides her through life. Every day she reminds herself and others of the importance of togetherness, love and courage, even when circumstances are harsh. Rabia's story is not only a story of struggle and loss, but of life's optimism and inner strength that inspires everyone who meets her. She is a mother who does not give up and who persistently wears a smile, even when she is faced with sadness and pain November 3, 2024
