About :

The rocky world of the Tyssa Walls was made accessible in the 19th century, but mountaineering development only began in 1908. Due to the two world wars, development initially came to a standstill. From 1955 onwards, a gradual revival began, with increasingly challenging climbing routes being attempted. Today, the Tyssa Walls are one of the most visited climbing areas in Bohemian Switzerland. The sandstone rocks offer ideal nesting places for numerous bird species. In earlier times, you could even see golden eagles and peregrine falcons here, while today some bird species still breed in the region.
